Special Festival Services

October 8: The Solemnity of St. Francis, 5:00 pm A festive service featuring our children’s choir, “Verae Voces,” directed by Sarah Little, and including The Blessing of the Animals.

November 4: The Solemnity of All Saints, 8:40 and 11:05 am Celebrating the communion of saints, with All Saints’ festival hymns and anthems for children’s and adult choirs and congregation.

December 3: Advent Lessons and Carols, 8:40 and 11:05 am Advent carols and anthems sung by choirs and congregation, followed by Holy Eucharist.

December 24: Christmas Eve
3:00 pm: A family service with carols for congregation children, and organ.
5:00 and 10:30 pm: Festival Eucharist with carols for choir and congregation.

January 7: Epiphany Procession, 5:00 pm A festive service for choir and congregation celebrating the three miracles of the Epiphany.

January 14: The Solemnity of The Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., 8:40 and 11:05 am A festival liturgy with national songs for congregation and choir honoring the legacy of Dr. King.

February 14: The Solemn Liturgy of Ash Wednesday
12:00 Noon: A said penitential liturgy.
6:30 pm: The solemn liturgy with choir, including Allegri’s “Miserere.”

March 29: Maundy Thursday, 6:30 pm Holy Eucharist with choir, including the Stripping of the Altar and all-night vigil.

March 30: The Solemn Liturgy of Good Friday
12:00 Noon: A said penitential liturgy.
6:30: The solemn liturgy with choir, including “The Reproaches” in crucifix procession.

March 31: The Great Vigil of Easter, 6:30 pm A family centered liturgy, with Holy Baptism and the first Eucharist of Easter, led by “Verae Voces,” directed by Sarah Little.

April 1: Easter: The Resurrection of Our Lord, 8:40 and 11:05 am Festal Eucharist with music by the Choirs of St. James’, the Capital Brass, and Organ.
