Pledge cards for 2017 are now available for all St. James’ members to fill out and submit to the parish office by Sunday, Oct 2. Earlier this year, we asked all St. James’ members to help discern a vision of God’s call to us as a parish. Now, as we look ahead to next year, we hope all St. James’ members will pledge to support that vision financially so as to fulfill our mission. So please prayerfully consider how much to give to the church in gratitude for all God has given, trusting that God’s grace is abundant and will flow without ceasing into all of our lives in the year ahead. Remember: we are all called to give from our hearts each in our own way, so no pledge is too small! Click here to pledge. If you have any questions regarding giving to the church, contact Judy Johnson in the church office at 601-982-4880 or email@example.com. </span
These teams are the heart and soul of the Pastoral Care Commission. There are 5 teams consisting of 8-10 persons with a captain. Each team alternates weekly and is responsible for taking Wednesday night supper: sending cards to parishioners who have been released from the hospital or who are at home recovering from illness; host visitations, or are just in need. Teams provide support for families in times of sorrow or crisis. If you are interested (no experience necessary!) in joining our Pastoral Care teams, please email the Rev. Ann McLemore or Kathy Stephens, or call the church office, 601-982-4880.
