Music and Movement

5:45 pm til 6:15 pm
Movement and Music
for ages K4 – 1st Grade in Room 202, Gray Hall.

Music and Movement with Ms. Katie, a new St. James’ music class for
for all children in Pre-K4, Kindergarten and First Grade.
This group will meet from 5:45 – 6:15 pm for 10 weeks
beginning Wednesday, September 13 through Wednesday, November 15.
In this totally fun pre-choir music class,
children will learn to sing together,
learn how to play rhythms and learn about different instruments.
This class is preparation for future musical endeavors and is led by Katie Hathcock, lead teacher and director of Jackson Music for Aardvarks. Katie has led the music for young ones at St. James’ VCS for the last two years.
Pre-registration is requested as class size is limited. Parent participation includes serving as a parent volunteer for one or two classes during the session.

5:45 pm til 6:30 pm – Verae Voces (True Voices)
for 2nd Grade – 5th Grade in the church.

On Wednesdays, 5:45 – 6:30 pm, our Children’s Choir Director, Sarah Little,
will rehearse our Children’s Choir in the church.
All children in 2nd through 5th grade are encouraged to participate.
This is a wonderful opportunity for our kids to develop their musical and liturgical skills and knowledge under the direction of a skilled and experienced choral director.
The choir will also perform regularly during church services throughout the year.
